Vision and Aims
The Vision of the Trust is to deliver an outstanding quality of education for the pupils in its schools, and securing the best possible outcomes and educational experiences for them.
The main aims of the Odyssey Collaborative Academy Trust, for all of its pupils, are to:
- Provide a lifelong love of learning
- Achieve personal and academic excellence
- Create opportunities and experiences which raise aspirations
- Deliver a creative, relevant and inspirational curriculum
- Foster positive, confident learners
- Promote equality, citizenship and respect
- Celebrate diversity, inclusion and individuality
The Trust plans to do this through:
- Securing excellence in leadership at all levels
- Sustaining momentum across the improvement journey
- Curriculum innovation
- Standards monitoring, data analysis & effective school improvement planning
- Developing strong links with a range of strategic partners, including the Local Authority
- Facilitated school-to-school networks, coordinating and brokering expertise
- Recruiting and developing excellent staff
- Excellent financial management and value for money
Our Governance Structure
As a Charitable Trust, the Board of Trustees has two core functions, which are to set the strategic direction of the Trust and to ensure financial compliance and solvency. It complies with charity and company law requirements and those set out in the Academies Financial Handbook 2019. The Trust Board is responsible for the outcomes achieved by all schools within the Trust and does this through a comprehensive Scheme of Delegation, which gives a high level of autonomy to Local Governing Boards.
